The following are the results of that drawing: AG Communications – Chambersburg – LMH

Marketing Plan – State College – Chambersburg

Environmental & Natural Resources – Conrad Weiser – Twin Valley

                           Food Science – Conrad Weiser

It was noted that we need a policy concerning this issue.

Dairy Showmanship – First place to the National Convention. Second place to the Big “E”. Third and fourth would go to the Big E at their own expense to compete as a team. If third and fourth do not go, then the coach from the second place individual will fill the spots.

Summer Convention – Paul Hostetter reviewed the delegate’s proposals. Mary Strasbaugh moved to refer the proposals to the State Officer Team for assignment to committees. Motion passed. Ellen Aurand moved to concur. Motion passed.

OLD BUSINESS

Policy Change from previous meeting – Regional Speeches Due Date –

Mary Strasbaugh moved that all regional speeches manuscripts must be postmarked 10 days prior to competition or those manuscripts would not be scored. (Prior meeting motion). Jon Lauver moved to amend the motion by inserting the words, “from the top four places” after the words “all Regional Speeches manuscripts”, striking the words “manuscripts will not be scored” and inserting the words “individuals will

be disqualified, yielding the fourth place individual to move into the next available position.” The amendment passed. Dennis Scanlon moved to concur. Motion passed. The motion as amended passed. Dennis Scanlon moved to concur. Motion as amended passed. The following is how the policy now reads:

“All Regional Speeches manuscripts from the top four places must be postmarked 10 days prior to competition or those individuals will be disqualified, yielding the fourth place individual to move into the next available position.”

This is a policy change and must be voted on again at the next meeting in September

Tiffany Hoy reported that the Penn State students would serve as judges for CDE’s.
