Minutes of the FFA Board of Directors

Board President, Mr. Cecil Lohr, called the meeting to order at 6:30am.

Mr. Phil Hoy reported that eight students were disqualified over the last 24 hours. Ms. Aurand moved to accept and disqualify. Motion was properly seconded and passed.

Discussion about Ag Science Fair not being a CDE. It is an activity. If different projects are submitted each year, can the same student win twice? Mr. Steve Miller will research and advise the board.

H.O. Sargent award chosen as Mary Strasbaugh. Mr. Steve Kline moved to accept. Motion was properly seconded and passed.

CDE presentations – Discussion about whom will be recognized on stage and how will we get then there?

Mr. Kline moved to accept Dr. MeeCee Baker as the Ag Science teacher of the year application. Motion was properly seconded and passed. Mr. Chris Weller will submit both the H.O. Sargent and Ag Science Teacher applications to Nationals.

Discussion about finding a way to only allow FFA people into the dance…

Need to research information about trip winners…Can they take a lesser trip?

The meeting was adjourned at 6:45am.
