Mid winter convention 2010
A new location and new time proved to be successful in changing the mid-winter convention. At this year’s mid-winter convention, 247 members received their keystone degrees and charms in addition to over 175 first year members receiving their very own FFA jacket. But before any of these students received their honors, we were able to hear from our very own Secretary of Agriculture, Mr. Russell Redding; watch as HACC and Al Wenger presented the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank with their very own truck; hear from our Attorney General Tom Corbett and our United States Senator Robert Casey; and even hear from our FFA foundation Board and our Alumni. The two hour program was covered by PCN TV, and was viewed by people across Pennsylvania. The event moved to the large arena for the first time in several years, as well as moved to 2 PM. These changes seemed to be a big hit to not only the students, but to teachers as well. We hope that everyone enjoyed the mid-winter convention! Also, A special thanks to Andy Rill for sponsoring all of the Keystone charms, as well as to the FFA alumni for sponsoring the Freshman jackets.
